List five words that best describe you?
Energetic, Sassy, Giving, Tough, Positive
What inspired you to teach dance and fitness?
I always wanted to teach a class that made you feel stronger but also combined sexy dance moves… the first time I took Jason Layden’s PlyoJam class I left in happy tears and knew I wanted to spread the vibes through teaching. I LOVE seeing students get excited, let go, and feel confidently strong through PlyoJam! I also love making them laugh and forget about real life struggles for an hour EVEN MOORE (see what I did there). I mix it up music wise, my faves are Classic Rock then cutting to a Britney or Gaga, and switching to Jay Z/Kendrick Lamar.
What would you like your students to know about you?
That I can take a joke and I tell them nightly on stage as a stand up comic 🙂 . Perez Hilton & Lance Bass said my Britney Spears impressions were “Amazing & SO AUTHENTIC.” Lady Gaga retweeted a parody I did of “Million Reasons,” and my brother was also a professional soccer player and now a Soccer Coach at UCLA.
What are your favorite hobbies and interests?
I LOVE Boxing, Acting, and have my own podcast about Life Journeys/Sports/Pop Culture called “What’s Your Jersey?” On iTunes & Audioboom Network!
At what age did you begin dancing?
I started dancing at age 3 in my parents backyard to Madonna and Paula Abdul; then taking classes at 5 years old in NJ which lead to being on competition dance teams and a Ramette Dancer at URI. I would also take the train into NYC any chance I got as a teenager to take classes at Broadway Dance Center & STEPS on Broadway w/ Choreographers: Frank Hatchet, Mia Michael’s, Brian Friedman, and Wade Robsont.
